Bryant University announces best-in-class results for student learning outcomes; recent grads top peers for return in education investment

Smithfield, RI (05/29/2020) — SMITHFIELD, RI - Bryant University has announced the results of a comprehensive research study examining employment and postgraduate studies for members of the University's Class of 2019. With a knowledge rate of 85 percent garnered through multiple surveys and corroborated with industry research, the study indicates that Bryant's most recent graduates earn a median starting salary of $60,000, topping the earnings of graduates at peer institutions. Nearly 100 percent (99 percent) of the Class of 2019 was employed and/or enrolled in graduate studies within six months of graduation.

The transformational Bryant experience consistently produces student learning outcomes and employment success rates among the very best in the country. According to a recent report on college and university return on investment by Georgetown University's Center on Education and the Workforce, Bryant is among the top 100 (about 2 percent) in the U.S. and No. 1 in Rhode Island.

Among the Class of 2019 study findings, more than 85 percent of the class participated in experiential learning opportunities including internships, real-world consulting, and practica. Fully 100 percent of Bryant students participate in service learning, a component of the University's focus on real-world-ready innovation and adaptive thinking that helps Bryant students develop the critical skills of impact thinkers and game changers.

Nearly 90 percent of the survey respondents reported using the career education and/or corporate recruiting programs offered by Bryant's nationally recognized Amica Center for Career Education. Bryant's distinctive curriculum, with its unique integration of business and the arts and sciences, has recently expanded to include data literacy and design thinking programs for all students. Fifteen percent of the Class of 2019 is pursuing full-time postgraduate study in programs that include the Physician Assistant Program at the Yale School of Medicine, Boston University School of Law, University of Notre Dame's Applied and Computational Mathematics and Statistics program, and the Luxury Management MBA program at SDA Bocconi in Milan, Italy.

In addition, the research indicates that 94 percent of surveyed students agreed that Bryant prepared them for success in their future professional and academic pursuits.
